Use default GPRS connection for HTTP Connections on Nokia 6600

    Hello !

I am trying to create an application for the Nokia 6600 that is making HTTP calls to a web server to get an update list, and then processes the update by downloading a set of files.

Up to now, I have been able to make it work, but the access point selection menu is always poping. Nothing I found on the web was usefull to me, and implementing a method to select the default access point led to the menu being shown two times

Could you please give me some hints on how to use the default GPRS access point while using RHTTPSession, RHTTPTransaction, and so on on the Nokia 6600 ?

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    A.

I think there is a listing in the commsdb database, you can read it, then aadd it to your call, but not sure on code...if you search for commdb or commsdb you should find a wealth of info, else look in http://newlc.com in their forums

I managed to get a connection be dialed using RConnection, by using Nokia Example IAPConnect.

However, while I attach this connection to my RHTTPSession as explained in many posts and in Symbian knowledge base, I get a KERN EXEC 3 (access violation) as soon as I call the OpenTransactionL method on the RHTTPSession...

    Quite frustrating...
