Question Any way to get the file name currently used by another application?

    Hi All,
I am writing an application which will be used as a system extension. Our appliation is running in back ground and need to know the file currently used by forground application.
As far as I know, File Server plugin can be used to realize it, by moniter all file open operations, But is there any other way? Is a Recongizer can be trickly used for that?

    Thanks,
    bibu

You can use client/server architecture for that. When foreground app will use the file it will send notifiation to the background server

Thanks for your reply, but the hard thing is the foreground app is other applications, we have no controll of them, so maybe is not possible to make them send notification to our application voluntarily.
