    Question Sms date and time

In my application i receive a message. So when the message is receive, i got the payload text and the adress by getPayloadText and getAddress. I want also to get the time of the message when it was sent or the real time of the message, not the time of the mobile. So i used the getTimeStamp and i convert the time to String and i saw that the time is plus 3 hours then the real time. Can someone help me plz

    Re: Sms date and time

    Hi zafalimited,

The latest maintenance release of WMA spec (JSR-120) is somewhat vague in this regard (method getTimestamp() of Message interface). Could anyone elaborate on that?

One question: is your (normal, no daylight savings) timezone three hours behind GMT?

    Re: Sms date and time

    My Country is +3 GMT.
for example i sent the message at 15:00:00 pm (this is sent time,My Country time not GMT ).
My mobile time zone is +3 GMT.
I got the following date when i receive the message :
    Mon Apr 24 18:00:00 GMT(Display Time).
So the receive time add 3 Hours of the mobile time zone.
But if i put my mobile time zone GMT, i ll receive a correct time.
How can i solve this problem

    Re: Sms date and time

What about a workaround? Try to adjust it...

I had the same problem when running Ant for a timestamp in WAR file, using Ant builds. We were running JSE 5 and a property specified in the Ant task helped, but precision was not relevant. Also, daylight time raised another adjustment

However, no idea for JME besides tweak, though. Let's see if someone else is going to comment on that.
