    Hi,

For Java development there is Carbide.J tool. Please see following link:

I think ghislain.hude talks about C++ development, he uses Eclipse for the
    Java part (so do I).

Has anyone used Carbide C++ to compile the native DLLs for Java JNI?
    Instructions are greatly appreciated ...

MIDP 2.0 does not support JNI however there is a workaround to get your native and java bits talking to each other. Take a look here...

Have you tried that in the normal way? JNI modules are simple .dll-s, thus you may successfully create a .dll project, and modify it. You can also check if the JNI example compiles successfully in Carbide (I would guess so).
