    JSR75: Always allowing Read/Write

    Hi,

I'm using JSR75 to read and write into files on the telephone's filesystem (Nokia 6630).
For each read- or write-execution the user has to explicitly allow it.
Is it possible to permanently allow reading/writing?

Thank you very much for your reply!

    Hi Remo,

"Is it possible to permanently allow reading/writing?"

AFAIK no, the openPIMList methods (two-overloaded) of PIM class both require the access mode.

    Re: JSR75: Always allowing Read/Write

Even though it is possible for the user to change the access settings to some extent (on S60 devices through Application Manager and on Series 40 devices with the Options menu) there are no other settings available for Read User Data or Write User Data (other than Ask every time and No access) for an unsigned midlet.

If you sign the midlet, there are more options available.
