    Bluetooth GPS and N70

    Hi,

I have had an application working with Bluetooth GPS. It was working on 6600, but it is not working with N70. :-(

So I tried to run the BluetoothDemo examples from WT22(3) on N70 phone to see if I am doing something wrong? As I have a 6600 and an N70, I have tried to run it between them.
It is running well on the 6600, but on the N70. I am getting the following messages
    Server mode:Can't initialize Bluetooth
Client mode:No proper services was found
Also, to get to this point I need to switch on the Bluetooth from the Connections menu. On 6600 even if the BT not on, I can switch it on from the Java, but not on the N70.
    :-(

Has anyone tried this demo successfully on N70?

    Any help would be good!

    Re: Bluetooth GPS and N70

I have tried the BluetoothDemo from WTK in My N90, and reproduced the same behaviour as you said
    Server mode: Can't initialize Bluetooth
    Client mode: Can't initialize Bluetooth
To successfully work with the app I have to switch on the Bluetooth from the Connections menu. I guess this might be an expected behaviour in S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 3 phones.

    Hi,
Unfortunatly even if I switch on the Bluetooth from the connection menu, I am getting the same error, as I mentioned above.

    Re: Bluetooth GPS and N70

Finally I have got it to work.
I had to set up the permissions to the application to access the BT all the time, without asking.
By doing that it started to work and I am able to read the GPS and in the same time I can print out the current speed in a diagram via an other BT connection on a BT printer.
