    Hi,

the best way except reading book, searching forums, rading materials from "newlc", "symbian.com" and "forum.nokia" and trying to understand SDK examples is to start on REAL project...))

Just to add my two cents worth as somebody who began with Symbian a few months back...the Symbian community in general could really do with some more decent tutorials, especially at a level that begins with going over fundamentals and building from there. Starting to learn from SDK examples and the API reference really throws you in the deep end, especially when an app that says "hello world" has 8 files. I think it would be great if there were more tutorials in the style of the one on

This one is very useful, but a little too slim on detail and examples. Students are poor, we can't afford books

on second thoughts after having another look, the newlc tutorials are actually pretty good, some of them, just that they aren't structured into one tutorial which would be nice.

    Hi,

maybe that's true but how am i supose to start a project if i don't know how to make a simple app to display 2 diferent text messages on screen after pressing any button.

A tutorial is needed whatever you want to do, a message or a file editor. Not everyone is a genius
