    6610i and utf8

    does nokia 6610i support utf8 ?????

    am using this statment to show a utf8 recieved string from an http connection
    "inputstreamreader(utf8,inputstream);"
    but squares are displayed in return...

    so i wanna make sure of 6610i supports arabic and utf8..???/

    In this phone specifications it is mentioned the phone supports UTF-8

    U may also try microedition.encoding to find out which encoding is supported

    Even if it supports UTF-8, there is no guarantee all the glyphs are there to display them to the user. I guess this is the reason because otherwise you should get an UnsupportedEncodingException.

    Anyway, it is new InputStreamReader(InputStream is, String enc) in my API. I guess, you just have a typo.
