    Test SIP applications on device

    Hi,

I am new to SIP and have downloaded the SIP Plugin for Series 60 SDK and installed it . I am able to successfully run the Chip Flip example which means that my environment is set up correctly.
However I would like to get a general idea of what it takes to test SIP apps on a target device . I use Nokia 6600 and have downloaded the SIP Stack for Series 60 v2.0 from Forum Nokia and installed it on the phone.
I know that we need a SIP Server installed in order to test the application on device but I was wondering whether there is any way to set up a real SIP server in my company premises for testing SIP applications
Is there any way I can set up the different components like proxy server, registrar server, location server and redirect server in my company premises ? . Is there any document or tutorial which shows us how to do this or are there any free ready to use sip servers out there ?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi hemanth,

Thanks for the reply . I have installed the S60 Third Edition SDK i.e. SDK v9.1 . However I dont find any SIP server in the S60Tools folder . Is this the folder you are talking about ?.
If no then please specify the complete path of the SIP server file and its name.

    Thank You

Re: Test SIP applications on device

    Hello friends,

Please disregard the previous post. I have found what I was actually looking for i.e. a real SIP server for testing SIP apps.
There is a nice free SIP server called OnDo SIP Server ( http://www.brekeke.com/download/download_list.php ) which can be used to test SIP apps in a real setting.
Any other comments or suggestions are welcome .

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi hemanth,

i'm not really replying, but instead calling 4 help.

I had just started using Symbian.c++ and it's tools.
I'm busy looking through examples and pjsip and more. I came across the idea of building a sip user agent client (UAC) that communicates with another UAC).

I however, got stock while trying to compile the code with carbide. probably the wrong tool 4 d job. Please if u don't mind explaining the procedures and required installations that can make it work.

I do have an N82 device and the code i'm trying to run was from
