    JSR 226 and lag

    Hi,
    So i'm working on a game (java MIDP + jsr 226 ( SVG) for nokia 6280) ) .
It's a game like Micro Machine, so i have a car in the middle of the screen and my car moves on it. ( actually, the map moves under the car)

And I have lag (jerk (doubt about the word)), without any collisions' test, i have lag on the phone (on the emulator it's fine), it's not fluid ( flowing)

So if anyone has met this problem ( working with jsr-226) or if anyone has no problem using jsr-226, i will be happy to know

    Re: JSR 226 and lag

I did some new tests and it's unplayable :/

So did anyone use jsr-226 SVG to create a real time game ???
And how did this person limit his graphic ?

    Hi,

Can you tell from where did you get the emulator of Nokia 6280 handset so that I can test the SVG application.

    Thanks,
    Pankaj

You could try Series 40 Feature Pack 1 SDK, or Nokia Prototype SDK 4.0

    Re: JSR 226 and lag

    hi Pankaj,

also Sun WTK 2.5/mPowerplayer emulators supports SVG,
    http://java.sun.com/products/sjwtool...nload-2_5.html
    http://mpowerplayer.com/for_developers.php

and use real device for tests as frequently as you can, when I used S403rdEdFP1/NPrototype4/SunWTK2.5 emulators all three rendered svg content differently - especially when you are creating traits at runtime,

after your tests please add some feedback to that thread:

if you find something worth to implement/comment/document by FN team,

    regards,
    Peter
