No RDebug output in Carbide.c++ console

    Hi,

I've tried to use RDebug to print some debug information to the console, but unfortunately I can't see anything in Carbide's console view. Any suggestions how I can connect console view and emulator?

I've found the solution: I have to start my program in the debug perspective, then the debug messages are displayed (among others) in the debug messages console.

does this work on the emulator only, or on the device too? I can't get any debug output from the device. (N80)

If you want to get debug messages from your device. You should use class RFileLogger.

You should be getting correct output if you set the proper COM port in your launch configuration in Carbide. You can see COM port number in Windows device manager, Ports COM & LPT -> Nokia N80 USB (COMx) should be present when the phone is connected via USB.

Re: No RDebug output in Carbide.c++ console

I do have the right COM port set up in the "Debug..." window, under the "Connection" tab. The debugger itself works OK, I can single step, etc. I do get some strange behavior whenever I add a RDebug::Printf statement - the single stepping behaves strangely when trying to step over the Printf statement. It's almost as if the RDebug output is somehow interfering with the single stepping. This makes me think output is going somewhere, but not appearing correctly in Carbide's console.
