There is a Web services API developers guide on forum.nokia.com, please read that first. (You can find it selecting documentation ->java from the left hand side on forum nokia main page).

Re: Accessing Web Services through MIDlet

    Hi ,
I have read that document. It explains the access of the WebServices using JSR-172 in the handset but My handset does not support this JSR.I am using a open source package Package KSOAP to build my application....
I wanted to know that if the handset does not support the JSR-172 then wat are the other different options avalaible to access the web services through the handsets..........................
My Target device is Motorola L6........

Re: Accessing Web Services through MIDlet

Ok, basically Web services are XML messages over HTTP. You have http connectivity on every devices, so you just have to include some xml parsing capabilities in your midlet to be able to exchange web service messages. Of course you lack the higher-level abstraction provided by the Web Services API.

Not much of an answer, sorry
