    Memory Problem (6230i)

    Hi everybody,
    In my app I like to give the User at the end of an action an advice what the app has done. I implemented this message with a form which displays the message. The Problem is, that this Form isn't shown after the action of my app. Only the title of the form is shown. Is there a chance to free the memory with something else as "System.gc" to call the GrabageCollector?

    Yes I switch the form but not the display ones I have initialized the display I use the same instance of it.
    This is the way I call the message form:

    .
    .
    .
    msgform.append(/*MessageText*/);
    display.setCurrent(msgform);
    msgform.setCommandListener(msgListen);
    .
    .
    .

    THX for your reply

    Making your app smaller: Obfuscation, optimizing the picture, video, and audio files delivered in the jar file.
    mBooster (http://www.innaworks.com/) uses a bunch of other techniques and it will likely make your midlet smaller, but that is not a free program (there is an evaluation version on the site).
    There was also a presentation on optimization techniques at JavaOne by Innaworks' Stephen Cheng. Unfortunately the slides are not yet online.
