    AMR converter distribution

    Hi,

We would like to export our audio to amr format from a tool we have. Does anyone know where I may find details for the licensing of a tool or source code for generating amr fiels or converting amr files?

    Cheers,

    Raef

    Hi raefa !

You can get the sourcecode for a generic raw-audio -> AMR and vice-versa from www.3gpp.org

look at the bottom for the most recent version
    http://www.3gpp.org/specs/htmlinfo/26073.htm

I was able to compile the tools with Borland C++builder after a few corrections ( typedefs for Platform etc.).
Source is plain C so you could use any compiler.

the routines are not the fastest , they are somewhat 4-5 times slower as the great tool "Helix Mobile Producer" by realnetworks

But you get the source, don't know if you are allowd to use it, did'nt find a licensing info

    ;-)
