    What do you mean power failure??? How can power failure occur in mobile phones??

    I don't think you can (no api to get the battery level)... Maybe the best you can do would be to have a flag or something in the RMS, so that you can check the integrity of your RMS when you open it again.

    "No API for checking bettery level" - it is a shame to those who control J2ME for missing this useful function. The Flash Lite (so called script based) even has function to query battery level and signal strength.

    RIM's platform provides battery level, though may require signing.

    Have you tried using AT commands, I think this is for battery level...though might be carging status

    AT+CBC Battery Charge
