series 60 problems with http connection

    Hi there,

I have a simple application that uses http connection to connect to a server. It works fine using the the series 60 emulator and all WTK emulators. It also works on actual series 40 phones. But when i trid it on a Nokia 6600 and 3230 (series 60), the midlet won't connect to the server. The small 'G' symbol will appear and then it stays there. It hangs right there.

Could somebody tell me what the problem is? Is it on the network or is it the midlet? Do i have to adjust something in the midlet?

    Thanks!!!

    regards,
    remondo

Re: series 60 problems with http connection

PS in the Application Manager of the actual phone, I chekced on the app settings and found out that the "read user data" option is not allowed. There is no option either to allow to "read user data". Could this be the cause??

    thanks!!
