How to send a contact of my list

    Hello:

There is a Bluetooth Hotspot in a cinema, in my city, and if I create a new contact in my phone list, with a special name (a particular code, for example: "trailer_xmen") the hotspot send to my device the x-men trailer (etc)

I want automatize this, and create a little menu, in a J2ME app, so when I push a button, automaticaly send a contact with a name, and therefore don't need to create the contact manullay.

    How can I do this?

    Thank you very much.

What you want is to send a vCard over Bluettoth using probably the Object Push Profile.

You have to simple create the vcard, the format is really simple, however there is a library on sourceforge for this (vcard4j), i don't know if it works on j2me...

After creating the vCard is just like sending a file over bluetooth.

After a long day reading documents, I think this is too much difficult! jejeje. If anybody has an example of implementation of a vCard sended throw OBEX, it will be nice.

    Thank you, I'll continue reading

Re: How to send a contact of my list

    Hi!

I refactor several classes of the project below, (http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw....1_0_en.zip.html) for send a file using OBEX, and in the emulator runs, but in my nokia 6630 doesn't. I think that is because 6630 hasn't OBEX but I can send files through Bluetooth with my phone, I always think that I was using OBEX then.

I have found "Avetana OBEX", (Obex implementation for J2ME Phones that support JSR-82 without OBEX.)

In a few days I'll post my results.
