Very simple, unsigned midlet, provisioned via svc msg. All it does is reads a simple html file. Got proper http & socket permissions in JAD and JAR.MANIFEST; It doesn't need https, so it doesn't have that.
It works just fine one time, during the install, after you get the msg about "Saved to Collections. Open it now?"
After closing it and exiting svc inbox install screens, reopening it from Collections and invoking its functionality results in HTTP Operation error msg. This is on Cingular's MediaNet, which works just fine otherwise, as noted from the installer's dowload of the app and its initial proper execution.
All of the above is hinting at some sort of permission problem that the installer process has, but the midlet itself doesn't. I have not yet experimented with creating a signed midlet, as it's been shown to be a source of general aggravation in the 3220's, so I've wanted to enjoy my headaches one at a time.
Any helpful comments would be appreciated.
