Is there any specific way to set up the s60 emulator for browsing

    Hi all,
I have a public version of s60 ver 3.0 emulator. I would like to browse through it. Is there any specific set up that needs to be done to do that. Please help me out. By default it is taking WinSock for the connection and if I type www.google.com, it is saying "page not found".
    Thanx in advance.

    Hello,

    assuming S60 3rdED emulator try:
    #1
before trying to start web browsing first open diagnostic tool,
there is a monitor tab where you be able to see if any network traffic is going from/to emulator (Tools>Diagnostics)
    #2
use File>Open URL method and type url in input message box insted of using phone emulation widgets (to avoid mistyping)
    #3
    confirm and observe monitor data

    #4
also check "Options">"Network", you can have proxied internet access which requires additional settings here,

also see: "TCP/IP Connectivity" in SDK manual,

    hth,
    regards,
    Peter
