    Smileys, N-series and s60

I can not stop wonder why there is no smiley short-cuts in sms for the s60 and nokia N-series. Makes no sense.
All other known phones are made with smileys these days.
    Welcome to the stone age!

Is anyone working on a solution for smileys or any known way of including smileys (readable) in sms on s60 and N-series?

No way, unless someone rewrites the Messaging app (or at least the editor/viewer).

Support for smileys probably hasn't been a very high-priority feature for S60 or the Messaging app. You can still type them as, e.g., colon + dash + right parenthesis and a receiving device can show them as a smiley symbol (if the receiving phone supports it).

And of course, u know all the :-) and ;-( and the rest and walk around remember them.
I think there might be a good reason that this was made in s40 and other phones.
Have you tested Agile messenger? This might solve it.
