    problem with resources compilation

    Hi,

I've project imported into IDE (Carbide.C++ Express). After compilation (which finieshed without errors) compiled resources should be present in ..resource\apps\ folder in my sdk but they aren't : (
    I must compile resource manually.

Can you give me some advice how can I compile resources from Carbide.c++ ?

    Re: problem with resources compilation

    Hi,

    Carbide should compile resources..
    - After the import, does the corresponding .rss file show up somewhere in the project explorer? Carbide only builds "things" that have been included in the project. If not, use Import/Filesystem to import it
    - If the resource is present, check its Properties. Is Properties -> C++ Build -> Resource compiler -> General options -> Target path correctly set?
    - Note that Carbide only supports the default (sc) language selection at this time so only expect to find .rsc in the target directory.

    yes, rss files are included

no, i Have empty edit box for Target path, so i gues this is a problem.
But what i should write for UID2 and UID3 value (UIDs of my application?) ?

    Re: problem with resources compilation

You can ignore the UIDs, just add the target path, eg "\system\apps\helloworldbasic" for a 2.x .rss file or similar..

When you add manually a file to Carbide, it will automagically associate the build step with the file based on the file extension but it will not correctly "guess" the parameters. Check basic CDT documentation for more info..
