Question How to intercepting TCP packets?

    Hello!

I need a method to intercept all incoming and outgoing TCP packets, this give me control to accsess to ip addresses (web sites) from any application on smartphone. Really it will be good to do this by developing "driver", not an auto-start application, so user don't see this driver, and this driver work as ip-adresses filter.

Thank you for any information about this!

You'd need the devkit to achieve this.

Re: How to intercepting TCP packets?

Ok, but what about info in http://www.symbian.com/developer/tec...ianOS_cat.html :

    Sockets/Networking Server (Sockets/Networking Server):

    esock.dll public
    esocksvr.dll partner only

    TCP/IP:

    (IPv6 hook support) inhook6.dll public
(Security Architecture for IPv6) ipsec6.prt none
    (IPSec API) ipsecapi.dll public
(IPSec manager server API) ipsecmanapi.dll partner only

Which of this components i need to do intercepting TCP packets? Is "(IPv6 hook support) inhook6.dll public" can do that?

    Thanks!

    And some other info: http://www.symbian.com/developer/tec...ok6/index.html

There are some classes to use IP Hook:

    CFlowContext
    CIp6Hook
    CProtocolBaseUnbind
    CProtocolInet6Binder
    CProtocolInterfaceBase
    MFlowHook
    MFlowManager
    MInterfaceManager
    MIp6Hook
    MNetworkService
    MPacketContext
    MProviderNotify
    RFlowContext
    RMBufHookPacket
    RMBufPacketPeek
    RMBufRecvInfo
    RMBufSendInfo
    TFlowStatus
    TInet6HeaderIP4
    TInet6HeaderIP
    TInet6Packet
    TIpHeader
    TPacketHead
    TPacketPoker
    TSoIfInfo6
    TSoInet6IfConfig

Can i use it to intercept packets?

    Thanks

Re: How to intercepting TCP packets?

I'll let you draw your own conculsion:
The documentation is from 2002 and the faq from 2006, which do you think is correct?

Probably, if you could find inhook6.lib and probably, if you studied the documentation long enough and had enough time.

I agree with PushL - realistically you need the devkit to do it
