Question Warning message appears when run the application

    Hi,

My j2me application uses File Connection API.

The following message appears on the screen when trying to run the application:

    -------------------------------------------------------------
/Application Name/ wants to read from the local file System.
Is it OK to read your files?
    -------------------------------------------------------------

This warning message is very annoing. How can I avoid it?

    Thanks,

    A.

Re: Warning message appears when run the application

    Hi,

    The target device is Nokia6280.
Should I install the SERIAS 40 in order to sign my Midlet?
What softwere needed to be install for this (Nokia)sign process.
I have now only Java Wireless Toolkit, and this is certainly not enough.

    Thanks,

    A

Re: Warning message appears when run the application

Please check the File Connection example http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n..._v1_1.zip.html, it contans some useful information for you.

Also note that not all of the folders might not be available to your MIDlet and the absolute folder names might be different from phone model to another, hence you should query the folder names using SystemProperty strings listed in the doc above.

There is also an introductory doc on signing on FN website http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n..._1_en.pdf.html
