    how to use midlet.PlatformRequest() method to call mobile browser from my application

    hi,
    From my application i want to open the wap browser in the mobile.
    From the sun java toolkit documentation,i came to kow that it is possible to call the wap browser from an application using midlet.platformRequest(URL).

    Can anyone tell me how to implement that mehod in my application and also Is is possible for all kind of mobiles supporting J2ME?

    It's available only to MIDP 2.0 devices. Check the link below, it has code showing the usage.

    thanks for ur reply.
    i tried with the codings specified in the link.
    but it is not working.
    i added the line mentioned in that artilce to system configuration files but it is not working?

    Thanks a lot for ur reply.
    The sample code in the link given by you works fine in the mobile also.
    In mobile im able to open the browser from the application adn able to connect to the internet.
    If i use my proxy server to connect to the internet means it is not working.
    I simply port the sample code in mobile and in mobile browser setting i changed the settings like the proxyserver address and the port number,but it is connecting to the internet via proxy.
    Do I need to change anyother in mobile browser settings?

    can u tell me how to resolve this problem?

    hi,

    what is exactly issue you are encountering now? built-in browser not connecting to internet or not connecting with different apn choosed or your java application not connecting to internet?
