AT+CMGR and +CMGL does not work properly

    Hi

I am using Hyper Terminal on Windows 2000 professional to send the AT command to the Nokia Phone ( 8210 & 8250 ). The phone is connected with the computer using the infra red communication port. With the AT+CMGR and AT+CMRL command i manage to read the message. But recently i try again, it does not work as usual. Below is the output that i get.

    AT+CMGF?
    +CMGF: 1
    OK
    AT+CMGL=?
    +CMGL: ("REC UNREAD","ALL&quot
    OK
    00790021002000200020002000200020003E002D00A4002D003C0640

*the string number 00790021002000200020002000200020003E002D00A4002D003C0640 will replace the command (AT+CMGL="ALL"<cr&gt that i sent to the phone and will not get the OK reply from the phone.

For the AT+CMGR=1 it totally no reply at all.

When i try with AT+CPBR=1,250<cr> i work fine, all the data store in the phone book able to display on the screen.

I did try to reset all the phone setting with the AT&F<cr> but the result is the same, cannot get the actual message that store in the SIM card.

Appriaciate if you could point out the reason and also setting that needed to read the SMS.

RE: AT+CMGR and +CMGL does not work properly

I found out the solution, just reinstall the infra Red Port will do.
