    macros in mmp files ,not available when the same mmp is opened in carbide.

    hi ,

    the macros defined in the mmp files , does not seem to be available when the same mmp file is imported in carbide.c++.

    can someone tell how to define a macro and then enable / disable it for a project in carbide?

    Thanks,
    siemensc

    Go to project Properties -> C/C++ Build -> WINSCW (or GCCE) C/C++ compiler -> Defined Symbols.

    Note that for the same macro to be set for both emulator and target builds you need to set it twice.

    Thanks,

    1) whats the difference between configuration macros and project macro ?

    2) if in code we are using like
    #ifdef NO_SMS_SUPPORT
    do something
    #else
    do something
    #endif
    then whats going to be the name of the macro and its value in the carbide project properties , macro sheet ?

    i also see there are different types available to choose from when defining a new macro so what are these about ?

    Hitting F1 in the Properties window brings up Eclipse CDT Help which has all the info on the Config and Project Macros.

    To do the ifdef stuff, set the Symbols in the Tool settings, in your case you just add the NO_SMS_SUPPORT as a Symbol your expression will eval as true.
