Arrow install msi applications in S40 Devices?

Ive just bought a new mobile (Nokia 6280) which I wanted to use as a GPS. However I've realized that I can't install any msi application because the OS is not symbian.

Is there any tool to emule that OS and install software for Symbian? (as the tool Wine, which emules windows over linux). If not, maybe it could be an idea to depelope since it will be a very useful tool.

By the way, do you know if there is any way to change the OS for this mobile? How?

    Thanks in advance.

Re: install msi applications in S40 Devices?

This discussion board is only for Developer Support and this question is not for developers. However you did have a suggestion so I've moved the question to the devices category.

Mobile devices have a small processor and limited memory you can not emulate another operating system on them and there is no practical way to reflash a system to a completely different operating system as the hardware needs to match the OS.

I hope this helps, there are some localized product support forums and one that is monitored and where you can get attention and solutions http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/. You may want to take any future product questions to that forum.
