    How to dial special number that contains "*" and "#" using platformRequest

    Hi All,

    I would like to know how can I make a call to **21*9890123456# using the platformRequest. I am getting invalid number while using the following statement on Nokia 6630:

    platformRequest("tel:**21*9890123456#");

    Actually I want to activate call forwarding to 9890123456 by dialing the above number. But I didn't succeed as I am getting Invalid phone number. If any body have any idea about this then please share...

    Regards,
    Pankaj Hotwani.

    hi Pankaj,

    there are few threads on board about that,
    e.g.
    http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...latformRequest
    there is no consistant behavior I think with MIPD 2.0 and device implementations until JSR-253 will be introduced,

    regards,
    peter

    [QUOTE=pankaj_hotwani]Hi All,

    platformRequest("tel:**21*9890123456#");

    I believe *21* is a USSD service request, it is not implemented/supported by almost all mobiles.
