    FileSystemRegistry crashes Memory allocation

Any call of FileSystemRegistry.removeFileSystemListener crashes the following invocations of new-operator.

S60 3Ed. Reprodused in Emul and on the N73 device.

    Re: FileSystemRegistry crashes Memory allocation

I just encountered this problem myself.

If I call FileSystemRegistry.removeFileSystemListener() and quit my application I am not able to start the application again (unless I re-install the application or restart the phone/emylator)

The bad solution to this is to add the listener but never remove it.

However I think that this is really bad, since the example program in Nokia FileConnection API guide PDF uses FileSystemRegistry.removeFileSystemListener() and never mentions anything about it not behaving correctly on S60 3rd edition.

Are there any news from Nokia about this?

    Re: FileSystemRegistry crashes Memory allocation

I got the same problem as what Puryx described while testing the program on the N73 device.

Is this the bug of OS of N73? Can other newer devices run it well?

Or there is any solution for this? Please help...
    Thanks a lot.

    Re: FileSystemRegistry crashes Memory allocation

If you think that you have found a bug please report it to the API owner, Symbian or S60.

If you need help in using the API or finding a workaround for this reported problem see the Technical Support offering on the same page.

    Re: FileSystemRegistry crashes Memory allocation

I have tested the same program on different devices. (About calling FileSystemRegistry.removeFileSystemListener() and quit application. Then start the application again.)

Both N73 and N93, which are S60 3rd Edition initial release, can not start the application again.
Both N82 and N95, which are S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1, can start it again.

So I guess this is a bug of initial release version. This bug had been fixed in the newer release.
