    Combined Delivery / Separate Delivery Killing Me !

    Hello,

    I have been trying out DRM - forward lock seems fine and working with me on wap push and MMS

    But :
    1. I create a combined delivery image using NMIT 4.1 , say it's test.dcf
    2. I try to download it via wap push (oh yes, i have mime type set application/vnd.oma.drm.content) - I get failed to download
    3. I try to transfer it via bluetooth - the handset also can't open it
    DM available at http://216.68.81.193/combined.asp

    Also:
    1. I create also a separate delivery file using NMIT
    2. I try to download it via wap push -I get a broken image - fine till now
    3. I send the WBXML - I get nothing - absolutely nothing on the phone- though i can see from the SMS log that I received an SMS
    DCF available at http://216.68.81.193/item1.dcf
    WBXML is :

    0605040B8423F0720603CBAF88030E6A00C505850686078701464703312E30000101494A4648036369643A6F7276616C2E6769664043433931414433462E34343137374546420001014B4CC3107480C9BBB7F30A7C15A4E5FDC9F5EC3E0101014D4F525303313000010101010101 ( sent with dcs=0xF5 and UDH=0x40)

    Does anyone has an idea ? I am sure the combined delivery problem should be easier to handle

    Thanks for your help,

    Regards,

    Elie

    Re: Combined Delivery / Separate Delivery Killing Me !

    Ciao

    as far as separate delivery, I set-up the server to have the following MIME:
    AddType application/vnd.oma.drm.rights+xml dr
    AddType application/vnd.oma.drm.rights+wbxml drc
    AddType application/vnd.oma.drm.content dcf
    AddType application/vnd.oma.dd+xml dd
    AddType application/vnd.oma.message dm

    I created a web page pointing at the dcf and it download correctly:

    --------------------------------------------------------------
    <?php
    echo "Content page:";
    ?>
    <br>
    <a href="http://www.youserver.com/test.dcf">test dcf</a>
    <br>
    --------------------------------------------------------------
    I get the dcf file on my phone and when I select it, it asks to get the rights from the rights location

    trights page:
    --------------------------------------------------------------
    <?php
    echo "Rights page:";
    ?>
    <br>
    <a href=http://www.youserver.com/test.drc">test drc</a>
    <br>
    <a href="http://www.youserver.com/test.dr">test dr</a>
    --------------------------------------------------------------

    My issue is that the rights get downloaded but the .dcf file says that they are expired.
    I tested on the S60 and S40 sdk and it's working (even if S60 sdk needed to open the dcf and drc locally)

    My dcf is a Flash Lite file (MIME in place) it get s recognized by the phone and SDKs

    Hope it helps! If you have any suggestions for me, let me know!

    Re: Combined Delivery / Separate Delivery Killing Me !

    Ciao

    my suggestions was to use the SDK first and then try the easiest way which is a web page instead os WAP Push and SMS deliver.

    Als ofrom you .dcf file:
    Content-Name: "NameOfContent"
    Rights-Issuer: http://rights-issuer.com/content
    Content-Description: "DescriptionOfContent"
    Content-Vendor: "VendorName"
    Icon-Uri: http://vendor.com/content-icon.gif

    You are not setting all these fields.

    Hi goldsms,

    I have tried to download your .dcf file wrapped with Combined Delivery and it didn't work. Browser complained it could not find the .dcf file.

    My suggestion is that you first put the .dcf file in a folder on your web server, setup the correct mime types in the server mime type configuration file and try to download it directly. I haven't seen the code of your .asp file, but it seems somehow to be on the way.

    Ciao,

    Okay - you might be right, will try it out.
    But combined delivery issue is weird -it's straight out of the SDK - and it doesn't work.

    My phone is a NOKIA E61 - can you download http://216.68.81.193/combined.asp ?

    Re: Combined Delivery / Separate Delivery Killing Me !

    Hi Daniel,

    Actually, I can put the combined delivery directly online , it's http://216.68.81.193/orvalcombined2.dm

    But as per specs I need to send out the boundary, so it can't work without some ASP or other to do so ??

    Code is below - basically set the content type, boundary and stream the file
    ===============================
    Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.oma.drm.message;boundary=""boundary1"""

    Set ByteArray = CreateObject("ScriptUtils.ByteArray")
    ByteArray.ReadFrom("orvalcombined2.dm")
    Response.BinaryWrite ByteArray.ByteArray
    ByteArray = Empty
    Set ByteArray = nothing
    ===============================

    I am sure the problem lies in some detail - but can't nail it

    Appreciate your help,

    Well, I wasn't aware that rights can be simply downloaded??
    Anyway, try

    http://216.68.81.193/orval.dcf

    http://216.68.81.193/orval.dr

    I can download the DCF file - then the DR - but it doesn't ask anything whatsoever,

    Is my phone getting crazy?? ..... not so sure

    Re: Combined Delivery / Separate Delivery Killing Me !

    Ok, I got a little confused with all the messages and didn't pay attention to a very important detail, goldsms. Unfortunately, DRM support in E61 is limited to DRM Forward Lock only, due to some internal decisions made by the business unit that owns this device.

    I know that this is a very annoying situation, but it's beyond Forum Nokia's control, so we have corrected the documentation a month ago, to reflect the actual device DRM support situation.

    No, N91 supports full DRM spec. Only the E Series is affected.

    Re: Combined Delivery / Separate Delivery Killing Me !

    Ciao

    ok, that's good. But I am still have issues.
    I tested on the SDK for S40 and S60 and my files are working, but when I tried to install it to the device I am getting a Activation Key Expired.
    So, I can download the .dcf, is recognized as a Flash Lite file, selecting it will ask to download the rights .drc file, download that, then getting the error above!

    Any ideas?

    oh my god.. boohooo
    I checked the documentation and read that it supports the 3 methods and started working
    Here goes 5 days down the drain...

    but then again, why can't you (on a phone that handles combined/separete) download both urls i pointed to ?

    While reading about separate/combined deliveries, I can remember that somewhere it was written don't use the timing in the rights because some phones do not handle it correctly

    Ciao

    I read that too so I am not using any timing constrains! I am enabling all the rights.
