    image and http connection ..??

    hello people ..?


    any idea how can i recieve an image thorugh http connection ..????
    in java am sending it as a byte array .. how can i display it in symbian

    In Symbian you receive it as a byte array (TDes8 is a byte array indeed). Then, you can search for CImageDecoder and DataNewL in the SDK Help.

    I am working on a similar item at the moment. Explain more clearly what you want to do. From which server do you want to receive the image? Do have a definition of the HTTP request? Do have a PC application which can get the image?

    well i have an image placed on my hosting ....with the folowing url " for example www.aylait.com/images/test.png"

    i want to display it on my application .... when i establish an http connection ...

    how my question is .. how shall i recieve it and display it ion my container.?

    OK - that's more clear.

    1) So if you use a webbrowser from your development machine and type the URL, you see the picture, right? If not, first fix this.

    2) You can use a normal GET to retrieve the picture. See the web client example in the SDK. Did you have a look at this ? Which S60 SDK are you using?

    1) yes i can see the picture from this url
    2) ya i know the normal Get ...

    that question remained .. how shall i display it on the container ..?

    thanx alot for your reply .. but am quit lost in this point ...
    .. am gonna tell you what am going to do and u tell me how to solve it in order to display the image ..


    step 1 ..
    i have a list box .... i'll select one of the items in it
    step 2 ..
    http connection will be created and an image and a text will be sent to the mobile
    step 3 .. display the image and the text ..." i've used a richtexteditor for the text"

    now how shall i display the image ..???
