Sending jar files from mobile phone using bluetooth.

    Hi All...
I want to send jar file from Nokia 7610 (S60) to any other phone using bluetooth. The problem is that, when I look at the options available for the jar file (which is saved in the Inbox), the send option is not visible.

I looked at the previous postings on this topic. Is it due to "Closed Content List" (CCL)??? What are the possible workarounds, other than using getResourceAsStream or some software like FExplorer???

Also, this problem is not encountered in Sony Ericsson phones. Plz help regarding the same...

    This document
    http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n..._0_en.pdf.html
    states

"Nokia is currently supporting a forward-lock solution called the Nokia Closed Content List (CCL) in all devices. With the introduction of OMA DRM 1.0 technology, the existing solution will be modified to ensure a flexible transition period for content providers to adapt to OMA DRM 1.0. The solution will eventually be removed from Nokia devices when OMA DRM 1.0 is widely adopted.
Nokia CCL is a so-called Device Policy forward-lock solution, which means the device is hard coded from the factory not to forward certain content. The implemented solution works based on MIME type recognition and allows the device to register content as copy protected based on this information."

So forwarding JAR archives is not possible on Nokia devices.

Re: Sending jar files from mobile phone using bluetooth.

Well, from some of the replies i have recieved on my threads, one possible way looks like creating an application which sends the jar file (which can be a resource file) to the remote bluetooth device.

Correct my understanding if it is wrong.

So you are going to package a (resource) JAR file inside another JAR file? In which case you (the MIDlet) can of course send the resource JAR file once, but on the next phone the MIDlet cannot then resend a JAR file as it does not anymore have the resource JAR file inside it.
