Two applications communicating via bluetooth in same mobile phone.

    Hi,

Is it possible with j2me to do software that acts like a bluetooth device?
I have series 60 software that gets data from bluetooth device. I want to make my own software what would replace that bluetooth device, and instead of it, puts data into bluetooth port where this series 60 software would get it.

Like having two applications communications via bluetooth in same mobile phone.

Is this possible, and if is, how?

    Best recards,

I do not understand your question. Could you please tell us a bit more or try again? Have you looked at the J2ME extension called JSR-82? See the PDF specification. It is quite complete.

Re: Two applications communicating via bluetooth in same mobile phone.

    Hi,

I'll try to explain this problem more:

    1. We have a mobile phone, where is installed software that communicates with bluetooth device (ex. GPS receiver). Normal situation is where user puts this bluetooth device on, and starts application (ex. navigation software) in phone to connect bluetooth device.

    2. Now, I want to make my own software (also installed in mobile phone) what would replace that bluetooth device. So ex. navigation software in phone would be connected to my own software.

Normal situation is where this bluetooth device and installed mobile application would communicate to each other.

I want to make situation where my own softare communicate with this another application in same mobile phone.

Sounds grazy, but I would very match like to get this work!

I have understood, that bluetooth port is like COM-port in PC's, and it could be possible to communicate wit it similarly..??

Please tell me if I still explained this situation too indistictly!

    Best regards,

    Duran

No, the navigation software on your mobile phone will not find the phone itself, so you cannot install a software on the same phone which intercepts the navigation software data. You could install your software on another Bluetooth device and then the navigation software could find and talk to your software.

What do you want to do actually?
