Ownership of an outgoing call initiated by default phone application

    Hello Everyone,

I am writing a telephony application (S60 3rd edition exe) that needs to take ownership of an outgoing call. The outgoing call could be initiated by any other application(not necessarily default phone application) other than mine. So, my questions are:

    1) CTelephony API does not help in taking ownership of an outgoing call initiated by any other application. So,
    a) Is my understanding correct?
    b) Can acquiring "Symbian Developer Certificate" help in getting necessary capability for taking ownership of outgoing call.

    2) I noticed few posts about using ETel APIs for taking ownership of calls in S60 3rd edition. However, S60 3rd edition has placed ETel APIs as deprecated. So,
    a) Is it safe to use ETel in S60 3rd edition.
    b) If it is still :-) safe to use it, when do i take ownership of the outgoing call? at Dialling status or ???

Hope to receive replies from the forum members.

    Thanks in Advance,
    RP

    Hello roji,

Were you able to take the ownership of outgoing call?
If you have any solution, please post it here.

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards,
