    release build in carbide.vs s60 3rd

Can anyone help with what is no doubt a simple problem.

when I try to build an exaple app for the emulator this works fine however to build for a device it always asks for the path to the executable prior to build.
What do I put here? All combinations I have tried have not worked.

The answer is: "you don't", you are seeing something that you should not... Can you post the exact error message and what steps exactly you take before you encounter it?

Come to think of it, you probably hit F5, right? If you do, note that for target there is nothing to run (F5=run/debug) and this causes the confusion. For GCCE targets you only Build, normally there is no hotkey assigned to that but you can do so if you want to.

    Re: release build in carbide.vs s60 3rd

When I go to build the project I have 5 options:

    Deb_S60_31_WINSCW
    Debug
    Rel_S60_31_GCCE
    Release
    Configuration Manager

If I choose the first i can build for the emulator and this is fine.
If i choose the 3rd (Rel_S60...etc) I get a pop up named "BIOParser - Executable for Debugging Session"

This states: "Please specify the name of the executable file to be used for the debug session"

I then have 2 dropdown boxes

    - Executable filename (the default text entered is "$(TargetPath)"
-URL where the project can be accessed (ATL server Oonly):"

    ????????????????

After choosing 3rd option: From the Menu Bar of your IDE:
    Build->Build Solution(Ctrl+Shift+B)
    That's it.
No need to press F5 key.
