N93 video output and landscape mode.

    Hi

I am coding midlet using N93 TV out. By default N93 uses portrait output with tv out. This means that only a small portion of the screen is used and the rest is left plan black. When user twists the disply to video shooting position, phone automatically rotates display to landscape mode and at the same time whole tv screen can be used by applications. Requirement of game user twisting phone to this position and exiting camera is not preferable conserning game midlet.

Is there a way to force landscape mode using Java?

Simple image rotation or world rotation will not do the trick.

"Is there a way to force landscape mode using Java?"

Short answer: unfortunately no. There is no access to the TV out settings from MIDlets
