    Re: file format unknown

Your web server or your ASP page code is not sending the text/html HTTP header (and thus the phone does not know what kind of content is being delivered from the server).

    I try to send
    <%@ Register TagPrefix="mobile" Namespace="System.Web.UI.MobileControls" Assembly="System.Web.Mobile" %>

as a header, and it showed the same error message "file format unknown!"

can you please tell me, what to write on the header! and what's the main problem?

    Thanks.

    Hey rodrigo.c.souza,

Just declare content type in your "ERROR SHOWING" (file format unknown) page.. whether that's on the form load event or in the header..

    <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" ContentType = "text/html" CodeFile="default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" %>

    Hope it'll work for you.

    Talking Re: file format unknown

    Hello saikat_00,

Thankz a lot for your reply.

I realized that I was using the wrong VS 2005 template to build the asp.net mobile pages. In your first post, I was doing like you, using the ASP.NET Web Site and the <form> tags, without having showing up the mobile controls. After a long search on Google, I found the Service Pack 1 to VS 2005, that solved the problem. Now I got a nice IDE with Mobile Web Controls to use in the cards.

    <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="Default" EnableSessionState="True" %>
    <%@ Register TagPrefix="mobile" Namespace="System.Web.UI.MobileControls" Assembly="System.Web.Mobile" %>

    Greetings,

    Rodrigo C. Souza
