    related question with options menu

    Hi,
I notice one picture(Figure 7. High score dialog example.) in one document from Nokia,
    Nokia_Series_60_UI_Style_Guide_v3_0.pdf.
You can check this picture from here http://202.157.143.6:8080/temp/popup.jpg
I want to ask, how can I program to implement it? You see the background is one game in FullCanvas. Can somebody explain it?
    Thanks advancedly.

RE: related question with options menu

    Hi xrsu,

you see, Snake II (from which the picture is) is written on Symbian and in Symbian it is possible to overlap different UI components thus making it possible to put a text dialog box on top of game screen. In MIDP, it's not possible to do it like this since FullCanvas (and Canvas) offer only means for drawing graphics on screen while textboxes and such have to be implemented from the Screen side of the Displayable class. Hope this clarified the issue.

    Kind regards,

    Hi, tinkezione
    Thank you again.
You mean this is developed by C for symbian, not midlet. so can do like that.
Can I also say that for my previous question which title is "options menu in FullCanvas?" ?
