Re: how to add capabilities to mmp file

Added all 13 capabilities in my developer certification request file. And got the certification file. Using this file, generated the sis file, ran on the S60 3rd edition device Nokia E60 device.
but still, it is giving an error message "Unable to execute file for security reasons", when i call an api which is going to search bluetooth devices.

Is there otherway add the capabilities to mmp file?
    how can add it?

Did you clean the build for your target before rebuilding? (abld reallyclean <target>).

As you said, "using another dll" - your dll's needs the same (or more capabilities) than your exe file, so make sure you update all your own dll's to have the same capabilities.

    Hello,
Capabilities available for self-sign sis are user capabilities..i.e. LocalServices,Location,NetworkServices,ReadUserData,UserEnvironment,
    WriteUserData.
You can add them by using CAPABILITY keyword in mmp file

    regards,

Re: how to add capabilities to mmp file

Self-signing without a developer certificate gets you limited capabilities.

If you want more, you need a developer certificate from Symbian Signed ( http://www.symbiansigned.com ).

If you want a developer certificate for more than one device (IMEI), you need an CA validated ACS ID (Authenticated Content Signing) from a CA like VeriSign or others in order to get such a developer cert.

If you want a developer cert with privileged capabilities, you need to request manufacturer permission first:
