Importing from MMP with Carbide.c++ Express 1.1

I have the following error with Carbide.c++ Express 1.1 while I am trying to import the MMP file of an application working for the S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2 builded using the Visual Studio 6.0 (so for the target I executed the ABLD.BAT).

"Unable to import file: org.eclipse.core.internal.resources.ResourceException: R:\dev\handheld is not a valid location for linked resources."

The MMP file is located in R:\dev\handheld\nokia\symbian\JetSrv\group and the S60 Editions and the Carbide.c++ Express 1.1 have been installed on the same R: drive.

I have the same error with the Carbide.c++ Developer 1.1 while I did not have it with Carbide.c++ Express 1.0.

    Kind Regards.

This SDK --->S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2 builded using the Visual Studio 6.0

is not supported on Carbide. You need the one supporting CodeWarrior (WINSCW)

Just a wild guess. Try to rewrite the mmp to use relative paths. Furthermore, when importing tell carbide to NOT copy the source files into the workspace dir.

I already did that, indeed I started with the Carbide.c++ Express 1.0 and it had difficulties with non relative paths so I changed all of those and it was able to import at the end.

I mean, the same MMP file is imported correctly with the Express 1.0 but arises that error with the Express 1.1.

If possible, could you post your MMP file here please? It may help diagnose what the problem is.

I have not tried to set the flag because I need to leave the sources were they are because the same sources are used to build the same application running for Windows.

The same MMPs are imported correctly by the Express 1.0.

In the previous message I forgot to say "the flag 'Copy Sources into workspace'", sorry for that...

Re: Importing from MMP with Carbide.c++ Express 1.1

I can't immediately see anything that may cause the error you're seeing, but someone more familiar with Carbide may be able to do so.

I wondered if any of the FAQs here apply (though you may already have checked them). http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...ad.php?t=74925

For example, when you migrated from express 1.0 to developer 1.1, did you use a different workspace (as recommended in one of the posts). The error you'll get seems slightly different from the one you've reported, but I wondered if this could be the cause.

And, one other thought, your workspace doesn't have spaces in it, does it?

Sorry if it's neither of these; these are rather random guesses.
