- I have a C++ S60 application built using S60 3rd Edition FP1.
- It draws text on a CCoeControl.
- The text is displayed correctly on N95s and other S60 3rd Edition handsets when using English language variants of the handset.
- The text is displayed correctly on other S60 3rd Edition handsets when using Chinese language variants of the handset.
- However, the characters appear corrupted on N95 when using Chinese language variants of the N95.
- The text to be displayed is all English text. There is no requirement to display Chinese or other characters.
- On the Chinese N95 that has the problem, text stored in an .rls file such as following is displayed ok:rls_string STRING_about_message "Cibenix. Version 1.00.3..."
- On the Chinese N95 that has the problem, help text is displayed ok.
- Have tried changing Phone Language on Chinese N95 to Automatic, Traditional Chinese and English. None fix the problem.
- Have tried changing Writing Language on Chinese N95 to Traditional Chinese and English. Neither fix the problem.
- Have swopped SIM from other 3rd Edition phone which is working ok to N95. Does not fix the problem.
- Language in .pkg file is set to English: &EN

Does anyone know why this problem occurs? Thanks.
