Adobe AIR software is a cross-operating system runtime that allows web developers to leverage their existing skills, such as HTML, JavaScript, Adobe Flash®, and Adobe Flex® software, to build rich Internet applications (RIAs) that run on the desktop. Leading companies like eBay and AOL are already shipping applications on Adobe AIR.
