Description

Video capturing in S60 3rd Edition devices always records the video in 3gpp format even though according to the implementation notes and the system property the MP4 format is supported.

By using the locator "capture://video? Encoding/mp4", the recorded video is still in 3gpp format.

How to reproduce

You can emulate the error by using the following line of code:

Manager.createPlayer("capture://video?encoding=video/mp4")

Solution

The MP4 format will be supported in future releases.
