There is no public API to control audio routing because the user should always be able to manually control it by attaching or detaching the headset from the device. In other words, the device automatically detects whether there is a headset connected or not and then routes audio respectively.


No known solution. Note that this restriction does not affect S60 3rd Edition devices, where audio routing can be controlled with the Audio Routing API or higher-level audio APIs, such as VoIP Audio Services and Audio Proxy Server. These APIs are available in the SDK API Plug-in packages for S60 3rd Edition SDKs.
