This defect may be witnessed for example when the user has configured correct SIP settings and 'Always ON' registration mode is used with a WLAN bearer. The problem occurs when the initial SIP registration fails due to no network coverage, and the user moves back into WLAN range. The registration will not be reattempted at this point.

This defect has been reproduced in Nokia E60, Nokia E61 and Nokia E70 devices with firmware versions prior to 2.0618.xx.

The workaround for devices with earlier firmware versions is to use the 'When needed' registration mode in SIP settings.
