Description

Displaying a custom control as a title pane picture is possible by swapping the custom control to the title pane once the control is ready to be drawn, as shown here:

 /* Determine the capabilities */
CEikStatusPaneBase::TPaneCapabilities capabilities =
statusPane->PaneCapabilities( TUid::Uid(EEikStatusPaneUidTitle));
if ( capabilities.IsPresent() && capabilities.IsAppOwned() )
{
//iTitlepaneControl is the custom control which needs to be drawn
CEikStatusPane::SwapControl(TUid::Uid
(EEikStatusPaneUidTitle),iTitlepaneControl);
)

However, this is not possible on the Nokia E71 due to a different design used for the status pane.
