Description

Devices compatible with the above platforms are not capable of handling OMA forward-lock messages which are bigger than ~150 KB. The maximum size of the content cannot be defined exactly because it depends on the memory consumption of the device at the download moment (for example, number of open applications).

How to reproduce

Create an OMA forward-locked message which is bigger than ~150 KB. When this content is downloaded to the device from the server, the download fails.

Solution

Corrected in Nokia 7610, software version 4.0437.4 and onwards and S60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2.
In these newer devices it can be possible to download even 2 MB files. Note that the maximum size of the content cannot be defined exactly because it depends on the memory consumption of the device at the download moment (for example, amount of open applications).
