Makara - Express Signed

I haven't seen the express signed explanation, whether it still available?

Rippe - Express Signed

We'll add them soonest! Sorry about the trouble. They are available at the portal, but due to user acceptance testing and the rush on getting the system up, they were left unupdated to the wiki.

Jeepy - Open Signed

Hi,

where is the old "Open Signed Online" option where everybody could sign an application for only one phone based on its unique imei ??

thanks,

Domi.

Jeepy 00:48, 23 June 2011 (EEST)

Ext-ramesh.nelakuditi@nokia.com -

After you login , click on Development Certificate tab. In the right side of the page you can see "Upload SIS File for Signing" section, there you can upload your sis file for online signing.

ext-ramesh.nelakuditi@nokia.com 12:47, 23 June 2011 (EEST)

Jeepy -

thanks for this reply, but I would have more accurate in my previous question : this signing process "Upload SIS File for Signing" is for the IMEI's found in the "Development Certificate" ! not for everybody providing his personal IMEI like in the previous system (Open Signed Online) !! ?

it could be simpler to answer just to the question : is it always possible that everyone sign an un-signed sis for his own imei like previously or not ?

thanks,

Domi.

Jeepy 15:48, 23 June 2011 (EEST)

Ext-ramesh.nelakuditi@nokia.com -

Before submiting sis file for online signing, you must register your device IMEI number in the portal, then only you can install your sis fine on device. otherwise, you get "unable to install, constrained by certificate" error.

GTO India - I have registered my symbian account

what does this mean

Hello, You uploaded a SIS file to be signed with a Development Certificate. This failed because of Signed for testing signing method has been disabled for your business account. . Please correct the problem and try again. Regards, The Symbian Signed Team

Is there a limitation for signing sis files like only 10 IMEIS free and rest are paid like that. I want to use symbian signed just for testing and signing purpose.Iam able to sign upto 5 to 10

sis files till now later when I trie to sign and submit the sis file .i got the following error.

Ashraf fawzy - Great improvements

Does "Download Development Certificate" option available for unverified account ? ( I supplied my IMEIs and I got the UIDs as described here in this wiki )

Do I have to have a publisher ID to get my account verified ? ( Knowing that Publisher ID is only available for companies only )

As Nokia OVI Publisher, Can I get a verified Account ?

Many thanks in advance.

Nire123 - Certified sign?

I have submit the sis file for certified sign. the status is "ready for testing", what should happend next?!

nire123 00:09, 28 June 2011 (EEST)

Ext-ramesh.nelakuditi@nokia.com - Reply to Ashraf fawzy questions

Hi, Please look at the first image, it explains about when you should verify your account. If you need dev certificate up to 10 IMEI's then you do not need to verify your account. you can download dev certificate. or you can submit sis for online signing.

publisher IDs are not available to individual developers. In this wiki, all these details are explained in detail.

Grechishnikov - Additional Capabilities for Certified Signed

Hello, we have the Symbian Signed account (login: jeanne_kolesnik@epocware.com). We need to sign an application with all except TCB capabilities (including AllFiles and DRM).

We have requested for All files and DRM capabilities for our application, Request ID : 2641729. It is approved now. Now we need to proceed with the application signing.

It is written in your WIKI under the paragraph '8. AllFiles, DRM, TCB & Invitation only side of Symbian Signed': After we have accepted your technical reason for using AllFiles, DRM or TCB, we will grant you access to the Development Certificates with the capabilities you have requested. Later we can grant your account access rights to our Invitation only side of Symbian Signed web site allowing you to submit an application to a test house with AllFiles, DRM or TCB.

So what do we do next? How do we get the invitation?

Zengyanfang - Cannot download signed application

In new signed system, I verified the account, and upload the new application to express signed, all were fine. and showed me successful to signed the application.

But When I try to download the Signed Application, it shows some problem--"Alert: We are having problems, please try after some time", from 23th June till now still same problem.

Can you help us to solve this problem? thanks very much!

In symbiansigned website(www.symbiansigned.com),

signed file id is: 26121727

the download link is: https://www.symbiansigned.com/signedui/submission/download?id=2612035&type=signed_sis&fileid=26121727

Vovik-ukr - Express Signed Status Cancelled

After submit the file to sign for a while, the status is changed to "Cancelled" automatically. Is there anyone knows how to resolve the problem?

Ggcespia - Express signed not a choice

We are trying to Express Sign our applications - there is no choice to do that when you press 'Complete Signing' - it only gives a 'Test House' option. We don't need a test house, we want to Express Sign our apps just like we did in the old symbiansigned site. We use these capabilities, so it should not be restricting us from Express Signing. I've posted at least 3 comments around the web and there has not been an answer. We have over 14 paid for apps that we are unable to deliver because of this problem. (Capabilities: Location NetworkServices ReadDeviceData ReadUserData SwEvent WriteDeviceData WriteUserData)

Droopyar - Really useless symbiansign, obsolete

I am verify, but the generated developer certificate DO NOT work on my phone!!!

This is totally a problem for final customers. Imagine a new customer intersted in buying a Nokia Phone. He could not install any application!!! as nokia will not deliver certificates to end users, only companies!!

Solution: Nokia encourage people to hack their phones. Nowadays ALL nokias could be hacked in 1 minute by software at home, even without certificates (JAF + custom firmware) with installserver.exe

So, NOKIA, be smart and start connecting people!!! not disconnecting them from you.

JohnsonZ - Cannot submit for cert signed

When i submitted my sis file for cert signed, i got the following problems: Your application requires capabilities which are only available for Certified Signed. Your application requires AllFiles,DRM, TCB which are only available for Certified Signed.

I have sent several emails to symbiansigned but no responses yet.

What is the problem?

Jyjjane - Do I have to modify my application's UID after the Symbian Signed Update?

The Symbian Signed Website has an update recently. I need to do Express Sign. From the new website, the publisher ID is tied to some UIDs(in the Manage UID list). I have an old application which had been signed(before this update), now my application has some new fix, so I need to sign it again. The old application's UID is not in the publisherID-tied UID range. So do I need to modify my application's UID, to be in the publisherID-tied UID range? Or that can I register my old application's UID into my account? Thanks.

Anttisavolainen - Confusion with UID and IMEI limitations

Problem

- I allocated UID's for a product - I bought the publisher ID - My colleague verified his account with that publisher ID

! Now it is not possible to create any development certificates, since the UID's are allocated for my account and the publisher ID has been used to verify my colleague's account. How to proceed?

Rostgrm - Verification problem

I'm going to update the application 'Message In Time' on the OVI store with latest changes& features. It was successfully signed from my account years ago and now it's impossible to verify my account. Certificate is bought on 14th of March, 2011; Ukraine is pointed in the certificate. Could be a problem of 2048 length or something reasonable instead of super-intellectual message: "Invalid SIS file"? Account: rost at mobileffort.com

Jsscb - Showing Status "Ready For Testing"

Hamishwillee - Asa, don't just upload over existing images please!

Hi Asa

Please don't just upload your own images over existing images - this can damage existing articles! I have reverted your image (http://www.developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/images/archive/f/f3/20110722055250%211.jpg).

I suggest perhaps you raise your query on the appropriate discussion forums

Johku2 - Unverifying an account

Hi,

We need to either change the email address of an Symbian Signed account or unverify that account to make a new account verifiable with the same Publisher ID. How do we do that? And is this really the only and right way to contact and get support for SymbianSigned.com?

Best Regards,

Johannes

Johku2 - Changing the email of an account

Actually the change of email associated with an account would be the desired choice because I suppose it is too difficult for the Symbian Signed service to transfer purchased content Ids and submissions and all the things to the new account. Is this also too difficult or how can it be done?

Polgv - Signed for testing signing method has been disabled

Hi,

Suddenly we are receiving the following email message when signing for development:

"You uploaded a SIS file to be signed with a Development Certificate. This failed because of Signed for testing signing method has been disabled for your business account.

Please correct the problem and try again."

We are verified account, a registered company using Symbian Signed for more than 3 years.

Do you know how i can correct the problem and try again?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have a SIS on symbian signed web site that according to the status is accepted certified signed. However on the details page I do not have the "Downloads: Signed Application" link as seen on http://www.developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/File:Download_app_express_signed.jpg. Jbwisemo - As you transition to not require Publisher IDs, 3 questions of clarity

1. If a TC Publisher ID expires in 2013 but before 2013 July 1, does the account remain verified or is it necessary to purchase an extra 1 year certificate from TC to get past those last few months and into the "upload with password only" mode?

2. If an extra 1 year TC Publisher ID certificate is not needed, what are the signing options during the few months from Publisher ID expiration until 2013 July 1?

3. How can a developer check which TC publisher ID and expiry date is associated with an existing verified account.
