Overview

How can I invoke RealPlayer to stream video in the emulator?

Description

The SDK and its emulator do not include RealPlayer in the S60 SDK for Symbian OS (v1.0). Therefore, you cannot invoke the RealPlayer to stream video.
If you know the UID of the RealPlayer, you can invoke it on the actual device with
CAknView::ActivateViewL();
You can also use the CDocumentHandler class to launch a specific media file. .3gp files are automatically launched with RealOnePlayer. Unfortunately, the emulator of S60 SDK v1.0 does not support this.
