Kony is cross platform (or multi channel) development suite and very useful for enterprise application development. It has a SAP certified middleware-free solution for rapid deployment for various mobile operating system and thus helping in hitting market earlier and to larger audience.

The suite consists of various tools to help in cross platform development, some of which are mentioned below:

  1. KonyOne Studio - built using an open, standards-based, J2EE compliant architecture to support a self-contained environment for the entire software development lifecycle.
  2. IDE capabilities - Visual Design, Emulator, Debugger, Backend integration, platform specific customization, Build & Publish.
  3. Javascript APIs - for abstraction of native APIs, this customization can be set through IDE.

Supported Platforms:

  • iOS 3+
  • Windows Mobile 6+
  • Android 2.0+
  • Symbian
  • Blackberry 4.5+
